Legal
The contractual framework governing use of the CATN directory by both members of the public and listed athletic trainers.
These Terms of Use constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the Concierge Athletic Trainer Network. Please read them carefully before using this platform.
Last Updated: May 30, 2026
By accessing or using the Concierge Athletic Trainer Network website and directory ("CATN," "the platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use this platform. These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including members of the public searching for athletic trainers ("users") and athletic trainers who submit listings to the directory ("registrants").
CATN is an independent online listing directory. CATN provides a platform where credentialed athletic trainers may list their professional contact information and credentials for public visibility, and where members of the public may search for athletic trainers by location.
CATN is not a healthcare provider, healthcare facility, staffing agency, employment agency, referral service, or healthcare platform. CATN does not provide healthcare services, medical advice, clinical recommendations, or treatment of any kind. CATN does not employ, supervise, direct, endorse, recommend, or vouch for any athletic trainer listed in this directory. CATN does not set, control, or influence the fees, schedule, methods, or terms of engagement between any registrant and any user.
No provider-patient, employer-employee, principal-agent, joint venture, partnership, or other professional or business relationship exists between CATN and any user or registrant by virtue of the use of this platform.
Listings undergo a limited administrative screening prior to publication. CATN confirms active BOC certification status at the time of initial submission through the BOC's public verification tool (bocatc.org/verify). This screening is limited in scope and does not constitute a comprehensive credential verification. Without limiting the foregoing, CATN's screening does not cover state licensure status, professional liability insurance, disciplinary history, background checks, clinical competence, scope-of-practice compliance, or any other aspect of a registrant's qualifications or fitness to practice. The screening is performed at the time of initial submission only and is not repeated between annual reverification cycles. CATN assumes no duty of ongoing monitoring.
Users are solely responsible for independently verifying the licensure, certification, insurance, disciplinary history, and qualifications of any athletic trainer before engaging their services. BOC certification status may be verified at bocatc.org/verify. State licensure status may be verified through the applicable state's athletic training regulatory board.
Directory Use. You may use this directory to identify and contact athletic trainers in your area. Your use of this platform does not create any professional, contractual, or advisory relationship between you and CATN.
No Medical Advice. Nothing on this platform constitutes medical, clinical, or professional advice of any kind. The information on this platform, including registrant profiles, specialty descriptions, and condition-specific informational pages, is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.
Assumption of Risk. By using this directory to identify or contact an athletic trainer, you acknowledge and agree that CATN does not screen, endorse, supervise, or guarantee the qualifications, conduct, or services of any listed professional. You assume all risk associated with contacting, engaging, or receiving services from any professional found through this directory.
Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CATN, its owners, operators, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, special, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of this platform or your engagement with any listed professional, including but not limited to damages for personal injury, property damage, loss of revenue, loss of data, or emotional distress. In no event shall CATN's aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the platform exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Eligibility. To register and maintain a listing, you must hold a current, valid BOC certification (ATC). If you practice in a state that requires athletic trainer licensure, you must also hold a current, valid state license (LAT or equivalent) in each state in which you practice. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements at the time of submission and will maintain them for as long as your listing remains active.
Accuracy of Information. You represent and warrant that all information submitted in connection with your registration, including credential numbers, contact information, location, specialty, bio, and all other listing content, is accurate, complete, and currently valid at the time of submission. You are solely responsible for keeping your listing information current and accurate.
Credential Lapse and Disciplinary Notification. You agree to notify CATN at catnnetwork@gmail.com within ten (10) business days if: (i) your BOC certification lapses, is suspended, or is revoked; (ii) your state license lapses, is suspended, is revoked, or is subject to any disciplinary action, restriction, or condition; (iii) your professional liability insurance lapses or is cancelled; or (iv) any regulatory body initiates an investigation or proceeding against you related to your professional practice. Failure to provide such notice is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate removal of your listing.
Independent Professional Status. You are an independent professional. Your listing on CATN does not create an employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or any other business relationship between you and CATN. You are not an employee, agent, contractor, or representative of CATN. CATN does not set, control, or influence your fees, schedule, methods, tools, treatment protocols, or terms of engagement with clients. You alone control the manner and means of your service delivery. You have no authority to bind or obligate CATN in any way.
Professional Insurance. You represent and warrant that you carry appropriate professional liability insurance for the services you provide, with coverage limits sufficient to cover any reasonably foreseeable claim arising from your professional practice. You agree to maintain such coverage for as long as your listing remains active on the platform.
Scope-of-Practice and Licensure Compliance. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable licensure requirements, scope-of-practice regulations, physician direction and supervision requirements, continuing education obligations, and all other legal and regulatory requirements governing the practice of athletic training in every state in which you practice. If you indicate travel availability or list a service area spanning multiple states, you are solely responsible for holding the required credentials and complying with applicable law in each such state. CATN makes no representation about any registrant's compliance with any state's requirements and assumes no responsibility for ensuring such compliance.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CATN, its owners, operators, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of litigation or arbitration) arising out of or related to: (a) your services, conduct, or interactions with any client or prospective client; (b) any inaccuracy, misrepresentation, or omission in your listing or registration information; (c) your violation of any applicable law, regulation, professional standard, or ethical obligation; (d) any claim by a client or third party arising from services you provided, offered, or failed to provide; or (e) your breach of these Terms.
Annual Reverification. You agree to reverify your credentials annually to maintain an active listing. CATN will contact you at the email address on file prior to the reverification deadline. Failure to complete reverification within thirty (30) days of the deadline may result in your listing being suspended, marked as pending reverification, or removed. Reverification requires reconfirmation of active BOC certification and, where applicable, active state licensure.
Removal. CATN reserves the right to suspend, deactivate, or remove any listing at any time, for any reason or no reason, in its sole discretion, including but not limited to misrepresentation of credentials, complaints from users, failure to comply with these Terms, failure to complete reverification, or conduct that CATN determines is detrimental to the platform or its users. Registrants may request removal of their listing at any time.
You agree not to: (a) submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information to the platform; (b) misrepresent your credentials, licensure, scope of practice, or professional qualifications; (c) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; (d) attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the platform's functionality or security; (e) use contact information obtained through the platform for spam, unsolicited marketing, data harvesting, or any purpose other than the professional engagement contemplated by this directory; or (f) use the platform in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the platform or interfere with any other party's use of the platform.
The CATN name, logo, website design, and all original content published on the platform are the property of the Concierge Athletic Trainer Network and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or publicly display any content from this platform without express written permission from CATN. Registrant-submitted listing content remains the property of the registrant, and by submitting a listing, the registrant grants CATN a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display the submitted content in connection with the operation of the directory.
If you believe that content on this platform infringes your intellectual property rights, you may submit a notice to catnnetwork@gmail.com that includes: (a) a description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property you claim has been infringed; (b) a description of the allegedly infringing content and its location on the platform; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the content is not authorized; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf. CATN will respond to compliant notices in accordance with applicable law.
This platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. CATN does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components. CATN does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing, profile, or informational content on the platform.
Agreement to Arbitrate. You and CATN agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the platform, or your use of the platform ("Dispute") shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration, except as provided below. This agreement to arbitrate is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and applies regardless of the state in which you reside or the state whose law otherwise applies.
Small Claims Court Exception. Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for Disputes within that court's jurisdictional limits.
Class Action Waiver. You and CATN each waive the right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. All Disputes must be brought in the parties' individual capacity only, and no Dispute shall be consolidated with any other person's or entity's claims.
Arbitration Procedure. Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, or by another mutually agreed-upon arbitration provider. The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Costs. Each party shall bear its own attorneys' fees and costs in connection with the arbitration, unless applicable law requires otherwise or the arbitrator determines that a claim was frivolous, in which case the arbitrator may award reasonable attorneys' fees to the prevailing party.
Opt-Out. You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to catnnetwork@gmail.com within thirty (30) days of your first use of the platform. The notice must include your name and a clear statement that you are opting out of the arbitration provision in the CATN Terms of Use.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. For any Dispute not subject to arbitration under Section 10 (including actions for injunctive or equitable relief), the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada.
CATN reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
The following provisions shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms or your use of the platform: Sections 3, 4 (Limitation of Liability), 5 (Indemnification), 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and this Section 14.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CATN with respect to your use of the platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, and agreements between you and CATN regarding the platform.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to catnnetwork@gmail.com.
